Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the release of FRONT MISSION, the 1/48 scale Zenith V 30th Anniversary Edition has joined the FRONT MISSION STRUCTURE ARTS PLUS plastic model kit series lineup.
The 1/48 scale model with its 8-color molding is one that looks stunning just from initial assembly.
POM parts are used for the movable joints, allowing for stable posing. The more exposed parts, such as elbows and knees, are made of POM parts covered by plastic parts. In addition to the armament hardpoints on the lower arms and upper shoulders, the figure also features armament hardpoints on the sides of the shoulders, as well as the armament utility parts known from the 1/72 scale series.
The shoulder block features a pull-out mechanism that can be extended for dynamic posing. When retracted, the mechanism ensures the figure returns to its original position without any wobbling, making it easy to handle. The shoulder joints are equipped with additional cover parts that enhance both the range of motion and the overall appearance. The movable knee unit also has a pull-out mechanism, improving the look when the knees are deeply bent. The toes, or claw parts, of the feet are now movable, enabling more natural posing.
In addition to the lower arms and upper shoulders, hardpoints have been added to the sides of the shoulders for attaching armaments, allowing for an FM 1st-like setup. These hardpoints are also fitted with cover parts that protect and conceal them when the armaments are not in use. Certain weapons, such as the shotgun and bazooka, are equipped with optional mounting rails that allow standardized parts to be attached. A multi-purpose carrier can be mounted on the lower part of the backpack to hold spare magazines and other armaments.
The model is supplied on sprues, and while the product images show a fully built version, assembly is required.
